Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has died.
Mailafia died on Sunday morning at the National Hospital in Abuja from a disease that has yet to be revealed, according to SaharaReporters.
The deceased, a renowned critic of President Muhammadu Buhari’ s administration, was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) for several hours over various charges he made about the country’ s security condition in 2020.
During a radio interview, Mailafia claimed that repentant Boko Haram militants revealed to him that a serving Northern governor was a terrorist group commander.
He identified the claimed fulanisation of Nigeria as real early in September, just as he revealed that Buhari’ s administration was plotting to impose a Fulani and Islamic agenda on Nigerians.
Mailafia claimed that the current administration in Nigeria is pushing for the Islamisation and Fulanisation of the country, speaking at a special session organized by Forum for Good Governance Towards Revival for All Nations (TRANS 21) in Akure with the theme ” The Role of the Church in Nation Building. ”
” The kind of Fulani coming from Sahara is dangerous, ” Mailafia remarked. They want to enslave you and take over your land. It is up to Christians to defend it. They want to enslave you and take over your land.
” Over 3000 churches have been demolished in the North East alone, and over 400 priests and pastors have been martyred. Even when a ransom was paid, Adamawa’ s CAN chairman was beheaded last year. We’ ve been told that the so- called bandits, who shouldn’ t be called bandits because bandits don’ t bring down military planes, are responsible for the crash.
No thief has the ability to bring down a military plane. No bandit has the capacity to attack the Nigeria Defence Academy, which is the country’ s primary training facility for the armed services. Only terrorists have the capability to do that; no bandit has such capability.
” We’ ve been told that these terrorists are insurgents since they carried out these kidnappings to collect funds for the insurgency. “
