In Bauchi State, two teenagers identified as Abdulkadir Wada (19 years of age) and Adamu Abdulrauf (20 years of age) have been arrested by the police for the murder of a little girl.
Following the arrest, the suspects who confessed to the crime were interrogated on the reasons they killed the little girl. Narrating how and why they committed the crime, the suspects told newsmen that it was a native doctor that asked them to get the genitals of a girl in exchange for N500,000.
To carry out the dastardly act, the suspects narrated how they waylaid a little girl in Kwata, strangled the girl, and then cut off the private part. In the words of the suspects, “When we got to Kwata, we saw two young girls at a location. We called them. Wada removed a handkerchief from his pocket and flashed it on one of the girl’s face. After she slumped, he took her into an uncompleted building and removed her organs as directed by the native doctor.”
Confirming the arrest, Bauchi Police spokesperson, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil said the suspects would be arraigned in court after investigation.
This report is disheartening as teenagers and young men are now resorting to ritual killing to make ends meet. It is a call out to teenagers to avoid bad company and shun ritual killing.
