2023: Confusion As Presidential Candidate Unveils Buhari As Running Mate
The Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has unveiled Ahmed Buhari as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
The FidelinfoNews gathered that he unveiled Buhari, a consultant in the oil and gas sector, in Abuja on Wednesday.
Speaking during the event, Kachikwu described Buhari as someone with the capacity to unite Nigeria.
He said: “Buhari has over 18 years experience as a professional and is both physically and theologically fit to occupy the office of the Vice-President.
“He is very intellectual and is ready for office from day one come 2023.”
Buhari, while speaking at his unveiling, thanked the ADC presidential candidate for choosing him as his running mate.
“I thank Kachikwu for this opportunity and the entire leadership of the party. This is a call to service and, indeed, a call to rescue Nigeria, and I am ready for it.
“In the last two months, I have been called by some political parties to be their party’s vice presidential candidate, but I turned them down for reasons best known to me.
“I am ready to serve, and I have chosen ADC as the right platform, and in 2019 when I ran for office, I promised only to support a southerner and that is what I am doing now,” he said.
Nigerians reacted to ‘Buhari’s unaveiling’ as the Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress.
Also, the party’s National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, charged Kachikwu and his running mate to live up to expectations and uphold the party’s integrity.
He said: “On behalf of NWC, the NEC, the board of trustees, and all ADC members, I hereby unveil and present the party’s flag to Buhari as Dumebi Kachikwu’s running mate for the 2023 election.
Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, on Wednesday warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar over hus ambition.
In a threat to Atiku, Primate Ayodele claimed that if he does not end the conflict inside the PDP, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and three other PDP governors will launch a “great tsunami” against him.
He said Atiku would be shocked if he failed to strategize well as some governors would work against him in the election and the Presidency will be ceded to another person.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the man of God also maintained that the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not win the 2023 election because they do not have God’s backing but if Atiku fails to re-strategize, a political revolution will take place that will produce another person as Nigeria’s next president.
If Atiku doesn’t strategize well, he will be shocked in 2023 because some governors in PDP plan to dump and work against him in the presidential election. Governor Wike and three other governors will disappoint him if he is not careful. I see a great tsunami being planned against his ambition by these governors and the only way this can be averted is by intentionally settling the crisis.
Atiku should make an immediate effort to settle the internal crisis in the party or else, he will cede the Presidency to another person.
“I still maintain that APC cannot win but if Atiku doesn’t re-strategize now, a political revolution will produce another person who will be Nigeria’s next president in 2023,” he said.
