2023 SAGA: Can PDP Win Without Wike? Confident Atiku Makes Boastful Claim; SEE WHAT HE SAID
It has been some time since the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries and Atiku Abubakar’ s selection of Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State, as his running mate.
Atiku and Nyesom Wike met yesterday, August 4, in Abuja at the request of the party’ s Board of Trustees (BoT), which is chaired by Senator Walid Jibrin. However, a source said the meeting did not result in a truce.
Prof. Jerry Gana, a former minister of information and culture, held the conference at his home.
On Wednesday, August 3, Atiku boasted that the PDP can win the election without receiving many votes from Rivers State during a meeting with BoT members.
He reportedly stated that if Wike did not want to agree with him, there was no need for panic, according to The NATION.
Atiku, who exuded confidence, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari, who lost Rivers State, relied on votes from Lagos, Kano, and other crucial states to win the 2019 presidential election.
He added that Wike allegedly made money off the presidential primary, which is why the PDP was in trouble.
According to reports, Wike expressed dissatisfaction with Atiku’ s most recent remark about him. Wike was informed of what took place at the BOT meeting.
