2023: Yemi Osinbajo or Peter Obi Would Have Been Good; Tinubu, Atiku Can’t Fix Nigeria Says Ango Abdullahi
Professor Ango Abdullahi, the Northern Convener of Elders Forum has said that the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, could not fix the country and that, they “have nothing to offer Nigerians.”
Talking in an interview with Punch correspondent, Ango Abdullahi said that the two presidential candidates had been in politics for the past 30 years and yet, they had not done anything significant.
He then proffered that any of these presidential candidates could have been the best for this country, “they are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Labour Party candidate Peter Obi and NPP candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
He said Osinbajo would have been good as the country’s president but, the Nigeria’s political system was not designed to favour him while Obi and Kwankwaso could also perform if they were given the chance,
Abdullahi said, “I would rather tell Nigerians to brace up for the trouble that is ahead of us, should any of the candidates between Tinubu and Atiku becomes the country’s next president.”
He said, he was one of the people who encouraged Mohammed Hayatu-Deen to contest in the PDP primaries because, he knows he would be a good president but, he lost because they have not gotten the materials on ground yet
