It’s no longer news that Muhammadu Buhari will complete his tenure as the President of Nigeria in 2023 and a lot of people are curious to know the geopolitical region that will produce the next president.
Recently, different groups in the southeastern part of Nigeria believe that a politician from Southeast should become the next president of Nigeria.
Some of the groups claim that it’s their right (According to Rotational Presidency) to bring out the next president after Buhari.
So, here are 3 “Igbo” politicians who should replace Buhari in 2023.
1) Rochas Okorocha.
The former governor of Imo state (Rochas) is one of the politicians who has the ability to take over from Buhari. He is one of the federal lawmakers in the national assembly.
Rochas Okorocha is known for the free education he provides for orphans and other people across Nigeria through his group (Rochas Foundation).
It’s important to know that Rochas is a member of APC and he believes in the unity of Nigeria.
2) Governor Umahi.
The current governor of Ebonyi state (Umahi) is among the leaders from Southeast who loves citizens from every region within the country.
Umahi is currently the chairman of Southeast governors forum, he has a good relationship with President Buhari and other leaders of APC (All Progressive Congress).
So, I believe he can become the next president of Nigeria because of his relationship with other geopolitical regions in Nigeria.
3) Peter Obi.
A lot of people in the southeastern part of Nigeria believe that Peter Obi (Former Governor Of Anambra State) is the right person to take over from Buhari in 2023.
Peter Obi is a member of PDP (People’s Democratic Party) and one of the strongest politician in the Southeast region. He has a lot of followers who are ready to vote for him during the presidential election in 2023.
