Five persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of the Mfantseman Member of Parliament (MP) Hon Ekow Quansah Hayford. The Ghana Police has announced.
According to the Police the five are been interrogated as part of investigations into the killing which took place last week.

One of the five persons is said to have had the mobile phone of the late Member of Parliament in his possession.
Two of the suspects were arrested in the Ashanti Region and three in the Central region, sources have revealed.
The late Hon Ekow Hayford was murdered in a robbery attack whilst returning from a campaign trip.
His one week observation was held on Thursday October 16th.
The lawmaker will be buried on November 28, 2020, the family has announced.
He has been replaced by the NPP with his widowed wife, Madam Ophelia Hayford, to stand as the Parliamentary Candidate for Mfantseman Constituency.
The killing of Mr. Quansah Hayford has led the government to assign armed police personnels to protect lawmakers due to the insecurities in the country.
