For years some groups have risen to threaten and challenge the sovereignty and unity of Nigeria and each time such groups rose they were crushed by our great nation.
The Niger6ia’s Independence and unity that we enjoy today is the effort, selfless service and hard work by our founding fathers and greaten of this country. We should appreciate the efforts of Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafala Belewa and other notable and great men that fought for our Independence
We should not forget all the Military head of States during the military regime for the effort and sacrifice they made in keeping Nigeria one, United and indivisible, special thanks to the like of Yakubu Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida and others.
We should also extend our gratitude to the civilian Presidents like Olusegun Obasanjo, late Musa Yaradua, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and most especially President Muhammadu Buhari for his special work.
Since President Muhammadu Buhari came to power many forces have been against him and they are doing all their best to undermine and ridicule his regime by promoting and inciting Nigerians among themselves.
Recently, several groups are inciting violence and fighting to break out of Nigeria but how will that make things better for Nigerians?
Most Nigerians are complaining that Nigeria is too big and should be divided and shared but they actually don’t know the meaning of what they are saying.
I understand that some people don’t like President Muhammadu Buhari, and that is understandable because not everyone will love their leader but praying for Nigeria to break up is the worst prayer one can pray for.
So even if you dislike President Muhammadu Buhari or APC, please don’t pray for Nigeria to break up because of these six (6) reasons.
1. Creation and formation of a new country will be difficult.
Formations of a country are not based on ethnic groups and religion alone and it requires long procedures which not feasible. Of you doubt go and ask why Catalonia and Biafra are not a nation today.
The United Nation wouldn’t like to meddle with the affairs of a sovereign State like Nigeria and which happens to be their top member in Africa.
The truth is: No Nigeria ally will support the break up of Nigeria and will always assist Nigeria to squash or crush any group threatening their sovereignty.
- Most people clamouring for the division of Nigeria has ulterior
It’s very obvious that those fighting, inciting violence and brainwashing people to join them in breaking up from Nigeria are selfish and has ulterior motives.
They will condemned the problems in Nigeria will promising Paradise in the new country.
What makes you think that these people especially Nnamdi Kanu can really do what they promise when they haven’t done anything tangible in Nigeria.
People clamouring for break up are those who couldn’t achieve anything in Nigeria and are looking for an avenue to deceive people and make money.
Solution: People like Nnamdi Kanu should show us a concrete plan and maybe start employment, development now for everyone to see what they are capable of. Most of them have no profitable investment in a region they plan to develop.
- The new nation will still look worse than Nigeria.
Once again those clamouring for division does not mean the new country will be whiter than snow. It will still be worse than the previous one.
The solution is to come together and make Nigeria great again.
- They will still be corrupt politicians and looters.
They believe once a new country is born, the new country will be free from corruption and looting politicians, how funny can that sound?
The truth of the matter is that it is the same politicians that will hijack the new country.
The solution is to come together and make Nigeria great again by eradicating the bad eggs in the Government through the Democratic process of election.
- There will be a lack of fund, resources and the nation will be vulnerable to any attack.
Without much talk, the heading is self-explanatory and it’s obvious that people like Nnamdi Kanu are only there for their selfish interest and doesn’t have a concrete plan to sustain a nation.
Even if Biafra or any country is given to sessionist on a platter of gold they won’t be able to maintain it because they don’t have resources and funds to maintain it.
The solution is for all sector of Nigeria give up on their dream of breaking up Nigeria and embrace peace and unity, the beautiful slogan of our sovereignty.
- A Nation can not change to a paradise overnight, it takes years. America of today was formed in the 17th century.
In conclusion, Nigeria is a strong nation and can never be broken. And no group wins against a government or a nation, it has never happened.
I don’t know if it is the hatred for Buhari that is making people think of breaking out of Nigeria but no matter what please erase that dream from your mind because it is not feasible.
Let us unite and make Nigeria great again.
