Do You Know That The Bible Forbids These 7 Things But We Still Do Them On Our Daily Basis
The Bible is one of the most difficult books on earth to be interpreted accurately. It needs more than the human brain to read and understand it perfectly, it requires the spirit of the Holy Spirit to you.
The majority believe that after the coming of Jesus Christ, the old testament laws no longer counted, but others strongly believe that they still do so because they believed that the Bible is one and that every word in it should be obeyed.
We will be happy if the Bible scholars in the house can help us verify and interpret some of these verses of the Bible because, from the look of things, there seem to be actions that we display daily that go against the teachings and practices of the Bible, both from the Old and New Testaments.
Below, we present some of these actions along with Bible verses to support the claim
1. Braiding of Hair and donning everything garments
According to 1Timothy 2: 9, women are prohibited from braiding their hair and discouraged from wearing expensive clothing.
” And I want women to look modest. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by fixing their hair or wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothing. ”
2. Looking at a lady’ s Backside
The Bible prohibits this act in accordance to Matthew 5: 28 which states: ” But I inform you that a man who even appears upon a female for the cause of lusting for her has committed adultery with her in his heart. ”
3. Women speaking inside the church
This is one of the most prevalent practices in churches around the world. Even most women own churches and are head churches. But according to 1 Corinthians 14: 34, ” Women are to be silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak but, as the law says, they must be in submission. ”
4. Trimming the beards
In Leviticus 19: 27 it says ” ‘ Do not cut your hair on the sides of your head or clip the edges of your beard off. ‘
5. Eating more than you have to
Most people eat more than they want without knowing that it’ s a sin, Proverbs 23: 2 tells us: ” Put a knife to your throat if you’ re a big eater”
6. Gossiping about your neighbor
What’ s life like without the gossip? Now check out Leviticus 19: 16 for those who don’ t know it’ s a sin ” You must not go about spreading slander among your people; you must not put your neighbor’ s life at risk. I am the LORD. ”
7. Drawing Tattoo
This is particularly common amongst celebrities around the world. They are tattooing all their bodies without knowing the amount of a sin they commit. Leviticus 19: 28 admonishes us to ” Do not cut your dead bodies, and mark your skin with tattoos. I am Yahweh. ‘ ”
How many of these sins do you commit on?
