Abaribe Urges Anambra Voters Not To Be Afraid As IPOB Calls Off Sit- At- Home


Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe has asked the people of Anambra state not to be afraid of anything but they should come out on the election day and vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Valentine Ozigbo and his running mate Azuka Enemo.

The Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate assured the people of their safety on November 6 during and after the election, he assured the large crowd that came out for the Ogbaru campaign rally that the PDP candidate will restore the lost glory of the state as the Light of the Nation.

He said ” What we need today in Anambra and Igbo land, in general, is good governance. Anambra no longer needs champagne drinkers, swimmers, and confused people as governors, ” Senator Abaribe said.

” Valentine Ozigbo is a consummate professional. His running mate is an astute administrator, an exemplary mother, and a good Christian. They are the best combination in the race.


The Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District added that ” You can all attest to the fact that Anambra is broken and needs visionary leadership to rescue it from the doldrums. I urge you all to vote for PDP come November 6.

” Do not be afraid coming out to vote. Come out and exercise your franchise. Security agencies are already top of the situation, ” Senator Abaribe.


Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in his address to the crowd said his party will win the Saturday election because the people of the area have shown that they love the PDP and its candidate, he then pleaded on the people to come out enmass to cast their votes on Saturday.

Mr. Ozigbo said, ” I ask you come out en masse on November 6 and vote for good governance. We’ re in the race to bring good governance to Ndi Anambra, and I assure you that Ogbaru will shine if you give us your mandate, ” Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc.


This is coming a few hours after the Indigenous People of Biafra called off the one week sit at home which was to start on Friday, the group said it was due to appeals from South East religious, traditional and political leaders that made IPOB call off the order to allow people of Anambra state to participate fully in the election.
