It was recently reported that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, visited the family of Monsurat Ojuade, a young girl who was recently killed by a bullet of a police officer, in Lagos State.
Based on that note, a well known human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu decided to react. While reacting, she commended the Lagos State police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu for visiting the family of the young girl.
Speaking further, she made it it known that the action of the police commissioner shows that the Nigerian Police never supported the action of the police officer. She ended her tweet by stating it clearly that little things matter a lot.
That is indeed a good one indeed. The Lagos police commissioner did the right thing by visiting the family of this young girl.
On the other hand, the Nigerian Police must make sure that the police officer who committed this crime is punished accordingly, so as to teach others lesson.
