The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, can be heard on an audio recording declaring that ” The Heavenly Hosts” have rejected Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo in an election, according to the audio currently in circulation.
Following the investigation, it was discovered that the recording was published in 2013, at a period when Soludo was competing against Willie Obiano, who was widely regarded to be Peter Obi’ s choice at that time. Although the winner of the 2021 Anambra election was not predicted by Fr. Mbaka as of now.
Prof. Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), is leading the governorship election in Anambra State with a majority of the votes cast, according to the results of the poll published on Saturday.
Soludo was not recognized the victor of the election, however, due to the suspension of voting in the Ihiala Local Government Area, which prevented him from being declared such.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially revealed the results of the election on Sunday at the state collation center in Awka, Nigeria.
The APGA candidate was victorious in 18 of the state’ s 21 local government areas, according to the results of the election. Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Ozigbo, took home the election victory in one local government, while the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Ubah, took home the election victory in another local government.
However, at the INEC collation center, the collation officer for Ihiala stated that polls did not take place in their local council as expected.
While Soludo leads his nearest rival, Ozigbo, by more than 52, 000 votes, the Ihiala local government alone has more than 148, 000 registered voters, according to the latest available data.
As a result, the election was declared inconclusive at precisely 12: 15 a. m. this morning, allowing for rerun elections in the remaining local governments where elections were not held.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the election in Ihiala has been postponed due to suspected irregularities identified in the majority of communities in the council. Ahmadu Umar, the officer in charge, made the news during yesterday’ s collation session.
A new date has been set for the election, which will take place on Tuesday, November 9.
