ANAMBRA RESULT: Soludo’s APGA Is Currently Leading Opponent Parties; SEE The Real Margins

As results from multiple polling units across Anambra State continue to filter in, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is now in the lead, according to preliminary figures.

Following the collation of results from various polling units across the state thus far, the ruling party has emerged as the clear winner, beating out other strong rivals like as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the DAILY POST, as of 12 a. m. on Sunday, most wards in Awka South, Awka North, Aguata, Anambra West, Njikoka, and other local governments had completed their elections, with Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) leading in the majority of polling units.

Professor Chukwua Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are among the major contestants in the ongoing election.

So far, according to the DAILY POST’ s live results, Soludo of the APGA is in the lead with 26082 votes, followed by Ozigbo of the PDP with 14984 votes and Ubah of the APC with 14949 votes.

However, due to an unavoidable delay that occurred during the exercise on Saturday, the INEC has declared that the exercise will be continued (Sunday) as scheduled.

Meanwhile, hoodlums allegedly caused a snatching of election materials intended for over 57 polling locations in several localities, causing the exercise to be delayed.

The activities of the hoodlums had a negative impact on the residents of Oba 1 and 2 wards, RAs, and the Idemili South Local Government Area.

According to the Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Nwachukwu Orji, who spoke on Channels Television on Saturday evening, the development was confirmed.

According to him, ” Part of the report we got regarding our deployment in different polling units— we were not able to finish deployment in some polling units because of several reasons. One of the reasons is, we were prevented by community members in some local government areas from deploying.

” So, we have some resistance in these places. While election materials were snatched and destroyed in some other places. Example is Oba 1 & 2 wards, RAs, Idemili South LGA where materials up to 57 polling units were snatched. ”
