Apart from Orisabunmi, See 4 Other People Who Died in The 1st Week of Year 2021 and How They Died

As at the time people were wishing themselves a happy new year last week Friday, little did they know that some were already on their way out of the terrestrial world.

Just as the year 2020 was rolling away for a new year to burst forth, some people both young and old are already rolling away with the old year. Death knocked on their doors and they opened it. Today, rest in peace has been written on their pictures.

These four people who welcome themselves and others into the new year are just a few among many of them who were said to have answered the call of death as early as the first week of year 2021.

1. Damilola Oluwaseyi

This young lady was a member of the National Youth Service Corps and died in a ghastly accident on the second day of the new year.

She was said to be traveling to her place of primary assignment to do her biometric registration when the vehicle she boarded sommersulted and killed her in the process. She died before she got to the hospital.

2. Kougang Vanel

This young guy was among the people that celebrated the arrival of the new year on January 1st. Little did he know he would be witnessing the second week of year 2021 in his grave.

He reportedly died after a man hit him with stick on the second day of the year while walking on the street and thereafter bled to death.

3. Barrister Tosin Ogunbodede

He was the Chief protocols officer of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State. He died in a ghastly road accident on January 2nd while returning from Ibadan where he went to visit his sick brother.

His private car was said to have run into a stationary trailer along Ilesha-Akure expressroad. While he died on the spot, his driver reportedly died in the hospital.

  1. Musa Dauda Birma

Here was a former minister of the federal republic of Nigeria and ex-presidential aspirant. He died on January 4th few months after celebrating his 80th birthday. He was said to have clocked 80 in July which was celebrated by children and grandchildren.

The news of his death was posted on Facebook by one of his sons on Tuesday.

These four people celebrated the arrival of the new year on Friday but today, people are already consoling their families and writing RIP and series of other condolence messages on their pictures.
