APC aspirant vows to do better than sharing cup of rice, groundnut oil to constituents

A frontline 2023 aspirant for Burutu North Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Marvel Ebikeme, has vowed that if elected, he would change the narrative of sharing cup of rice and bottle of groundnut oil as dividend of democracy to constituents.

Prince Ebikeme, who is the CEO/MD, PM Escapade Records, one of the leading record labels in the South-South region, stated this in an interview with the GbaramatuVoice on Thursday.

While speaking on his desire to bring democratic dividends to the people of Burutu North, and also called on the people of Burutu to support the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege for governor come 2023 as he is the answer to the riverine communities.

He assured that, if elected, he would ensure infrastructural development, youths empowerment, human right protection, agriculture, education, employment opportunities, infrastructural development, restoration of human dignity and equity and fair play in all ramifications, among others, would be his main focus.

He said: “The era of sharing cup of rice and bottle of groundnut oil is over, we cannot have politicians that will come to share cup of rice and groundnut oil in the name of dividend of democracy during Christmas and election period. It is time for the people of Burutu North to wake up and vote out PDP and join the ruling APC come 2023.”

The hopeful lawmaker who hails from the Ogulagha community of the Burutu Local Government Area stated that, if given the opportunity to serve, he will passionately represent the interest of the good people of Burutu North, promising that “he would not let them down.

“I am in this contest because I want to give quality representation to my people because they deserve it and much more.

“I will hold monthly town hall meetings to ensure popular views and needs of communities are documented and followed up to ensure positive action,” he added.
