Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed sadness over the death of Mrs Toyin Akindele, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State.

Naija News recalls that Akindele died on Friday at the Trauma Centre in Ondo after been involved in an auto accident.
It was gathered that the accident occurred d at Igara-Oke axis of the Ilesa-Owo highway while on her way to Akure from an official engagement in Ibadan.
Reacting to the news of her death on his Twitter page, Atiku stated that Akindele’s commitment to making Nigeria better was unparalleled.
“As a PDP woman leader in Ondo, she worked tirelessly to achieve this. I knew this because she was my longtime staunch supporter.
“I’m saddened by her loss. May her family be comforted & her soul rest in peace,” he wrote.
