Professor Mustapha Rabo, a chieftain of the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State criticized President Buhari on Wednesday for buying vehicles worth N1. 14 billion for Niger Republic.

He stated that the All Progressives Congress, which is currently in power, would never be forgiven by the innocent Nigerians whose lives have been taken by bandits and those who are still being held captive.

Recall that on Wednesday, the Nigerian government, through the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, confirmed that President Buhari approved the purchase and donation of vehicles to the neighbouring Niger Republic, worth a total of N1. 4 billion.

Zainab said this was done to assist the Niger Republic in resolving some of its ongoing security issues.

However, In response to this, Rabo, who had previously worked as a lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Bayero University Kano, questioned why the President was unable to ” quench the fire in his bedroom but ran to use all available means to stop the fire in his neighbour’ s apartment. ”

According to him, the majority of innocent citizens are being kept captive by kidnappers, but the government of Nigeria has been unable to come up with a long- term solution to the problem.
