Boko Haram, a group of militants led by Abubakar Shekau has constantly been a threat to the peace of Nigeria. The terrorist group is responsible for the death of over 40,000 Nigerians, they’ve left many homeless with their bomb attacks and they’ve abducted many.
According to a recent report by Sahara Reporters, Boko Haram has struck again over the weekend and this time they attacked herders, killed 22 of them, abducted some, and went away with their cows.
It was gathered that the incident took place in Monguno community in Borno State. Ever since Boko Haram began its insurgency, the northernmost parts of Nigeria have never been at complete peace. They’ve abducted students, farmers, villagers, they’ve bombed, and trouble to many.
The Nigerian army who has always been of great help has captured and killed many and they’re still working tirelessly to keep Nigerian safe.
According to a recent report, The Chief Of Army Staff, Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru has said on Sunday that the war against Boko Haram will soon be over.
This is an assurance that Nigerians need to cling to and also send their supports and prayers to the gallant Nigerian soldiers.
