A few hours later, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the missing aircraft and further released a video of the dead pilots. The video also captured the moment when the terrorists shot down the fighter jet mid-air.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday, the Nigerian military disclosed that one of its aircraft on routine operation had gone missing in Borno State, Northeastern Nigeria.
