The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the pasting of court documents at the residence of the All Progressives Congress candidate in Edo State governorship election, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The court said the same thing should be done at the residence of his running mate, Audu Ganiyu.
The substituted service of a suit seeking the duo’s disqualification was ordered on Monday, August 11, 2020.
‘The PUNCH’ reports that Justice Taiwo Taiwo, granting the plaintiffs’ application for substituted service, ordered that Ize-Iyamu and Ganiyu be served with the suit by pasting the court documents and the hearing notice for next sitting at the residences of the duo in Benin, the Edo State capital.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo adjourned the proceedings till August 24.
The plaintiffs are also APC members, Momoh Abdul-Razak and Zibiri Muhizu, who asked the court to disqualify their party’s candidates.
The plaintiffs’ grounds for the suit included the allegation that Ganiyu gave false information to INEC to aid his qualification for the governorship election.
