According to a report, Miyetti Allah Group claims that, Yoruba Activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho has been hiding under the umbrella of the 6 South West Governors.
Miyetti Allah claims that the six Governors of the southwest region are protecting Sunday Igboho and they are the reason why he has not been arrested by the DSS.
The group’ s spokesperson, Saleh Alhassan, made the announcement on Monday and urged the governors to come up with a much- anticipated activist.
If you can recall, on Thursday, July 1, the DSS declared his search for him following a raid on his Ibadan home. However, South- western Governors have been accused of hiding opposition activist Sunday Igboho while the DSS is searching for him.
Miyetti Allah Group who were also alleged by the Southwestern of destroying farm produce with their open grazing, kidnapping, r*ping and other sorts of atrocities, they are also one of Nigeria’ s nomadic herdsmen, made the allegations in an interview with The Punch on Monday, July 12.
Saleh Alhassan, a spokesman for the group, alleged that six governors from southwestern states were hiding Igboho and do not want the government to arrest the agitator.
According to Alhassan, Igboho is used for his political struggles. He added that even though the governors hid him, he would be arrested by security operatives.
He added that Igboho’ s guidances, the governors of the southwest, should bring him out.
However, Donald Ojogo, an aide to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and chairman of the South West Governors Association, in response, said it was not fair for the governors to respond to the allegations.
The whereabouts of the Yoruba militant have not been known since a raid by DSS agents earlier this month as report by the group and also notes that he will be arrested as soon as possible.
