BREAKING: Nigerian Senate gets new Chief Whip, Minority Leader

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday announced the lawmaker representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Philip Aduda, as the new Minority Leader of the red chamber.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Aduda replaces Senator Eyinaya Abaribe (Abia South) who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

In a similar vein, Senator Chukwuka Utazi was picked as the Senate Minority Whip — to take over Aduda’s former position.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, announced the appointments while reading two separate letters signed by Samuel Anyanwu, the National Secretary of the PDP.
