Officials from the Department of Homeland Security invaded the household of Justice Odili on Friday, alleging they had received information about ” illegal activity” at the house.

According to reports, as many as fourteen people have been detained in connection with the current siege on Justice Mary Odili’ s apartment in Abuja.

This information was made public on Thursday by the police department.

According to the authorities, one of those detained is a fictitious Superintendent of Police.

Officials from the Department of Homeland Security invaded the household of Justice Odili on Friday, alleging they had received information about ” illegal activity” at the house.

After that, some court documents surfaced online, suggesting that a police officer by the name of Lawrence Ajodo had petitioned to the Chief Magistrate’ s Court in Wuse Zone 6 for a search warrant to be performed at the address in question.

The signatory, Ajodo, purported to have signed the application on behalf of the Assets Recovery Investigation Team as the officer in command of the team.

A ghost account for local government whistleblowers and assets tax recovery panel was established, and the application was prepared on the letterhead of that organization.

Afterwards, in the footnote of the letterhead, the contact information for what was described as the ‘ Head of Criminal Litigation’ was provided, with its location being provided as 18, Tunis Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

The paper also included the email address of the ” unit, ” which was listed as Agf. asstsrecovery@gmail. com, in addition to three telephone numbers.

In response to the incident, the Attorney- General of the Federation Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) all denied any involvement in the incident, which was widely condemned.

Although the Chairman/Chief Executive commended the officers and men of the Lagos State Command as well as their counterparts in Benue, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ogun, and Ekiti, among other regions of the country, he warned them not to rest on their laurels.

Specifically, he urged for the continuation of partnership between the agency and other stakeholders, particularly the military and other law enforcement authorities.
