Omolara Solanke, a 46 year old lady was arrested on Tuesday, by the Nigeria security and civil defence corps in Osun state, for allegedly obtaining the sum of 2.6 million naira from a political office seeker under false pretence.
Daniel Adingu, who is the spokesman for NSCDC in the state, in a statement explained that the suspect promised to assist Razaq Salami, who is a politician and was contesting for the post of councillor to win the election.
The money was to pay for the services of the suspect. Adigun stated that the suspect alongside five others, took the victim to a town in Ekiti state where the money was obtained from him,after which they fled.
After failed attempts to contact Omolara, Razaq laid a complaint with the anti fraud unit of the corps in Ekiti state, then investigation into the alleged crime began.
The anti fraud unit of NSCDC, Osun command was contacted to track the suspect. In the process Omlara Solanke was apprehended.
