The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright has came out to say that the United Kingdom is in total support of united Nigeria devoit of agitation for breaking away by some movement, notably the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.
Arkwright while making his statement said Nigeria has achieved tremendous growth since its amalgamation in 1914 by the then governor general, sir lord luguard.
He said since 1960 when Nigeria attained her full independence, there are a lot of successes to be thankful for.
The United Kingdom praised Nigerian government for bringing a lasting peace to Niger Delta.
The UK is strongly supporting the Nigeria federal government in its efforts to push back and eventually defeat Book Haram terrorist group that has ravaged the north east region. The High Commissioner disclosed that UK supported the humanitarian effort in the North East to the tune of £80 million in 2016 and was still committed to doing more to assist in the area.
