Nigeria’s current president, Muhammadu Buhari, served as military head of state from 1983 to 1985, after taking power in a military coup d’état. During that time, he ordered for the killing of three young men for various for a crime which was not punishable by firing squad as it turned out to be.
Bartholomew Owoh, 26, the brother of comic actor Nkem Owoh was murdered by firing squad along with Bernard Ogedengbe 29 and Lawal Ojoulape 30 for dealing in narcotics drugs. The actor says because of this ‘tragedy’ commited by the former military rule cum democratically elected presidet, he will never forgive him.
Speaking to Breaking Times in an interview, the actor said he and the family have not been able to recover from the trauma.
