Nigeria’s current president, Muhammadu Buhari who served as military head of state from 1983 to 1985 after taking power in a military coup d’état, did something ‘unthinkable’ that haunts actor Nkem Owoh.
During that time, he ordered the killing of three young men for a crime which was not punishable by firing squad as it turned out to be. Bartholomew Owoh, 26, the brother of comic actor Nkem Owoh was murdered by firing squad along with Bernard Ogedengbe 29 and Lawal Ojoulape 30 for dealing in narcotics drugs.
The actor says because of this ‘tragedy’ committed by the former military ruler cum democratically elected president, he will never forgive him. Speaking to Breaking Times in an interview, Nkem Nwoh said he and the family have not been able to recover from the trauma.
