Shehu Sani who is a Nigerian senator, an author, playwright, and a human rights activist has taken to his Official Twitter handle to react over the death of Major General Hassan Ahmed, who was killed in Abuja.
According to Information gathered from a reliable source, the senior military officer, Major General Hassan Ahmed, former Provost Marshal of the Nigerian Army, was murdered on Wednesday night in the Abaji area, in the outskirts of Abuja, and his sister, Safina Ahmed, was also kidnapped.
It was said that Ahmed and his wife were coming from Okene when they were attacked.
According to Information gathered from the family, the attackers opened fire on his vehicle, which led to his death. The driver played dead after sustaining wounds from the attack, so they took the sister believing that the driver is dead.
Senator Shehu Sani, however, has taken to his Official Twitter handle to react over the death of Major General Hassan Ahmed.
While sharing on his official Twitter page, the President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria (CRCN) said:
“The killing of Major General Hassan Ahmed, and the kidnapping of his wife right in Abaji, Abuja is sad, unfortunate, and tragic. That this can happen to a man of such ranking within the vicinity of the capital city tells it all. May he rest in Aljanna firdausi. Amin”.
