Charms, Female Underwear, Weapons And Other Items Recovered As Police Arrest 20 Cultists In Delta

In what seemed to be a raid conducted by the Nigeria police in Delta state. At least twenty cult members have been reportedly arrested alongside a murder suspect in garafe in the Ethiope West Local Government Area and Otu- Jeremi, headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state. DSP Bright Edafe who is the police public relations officer has confirmed the arrest to be true as the operation was carried out on the 12th of January 2022.

These arrested cultists were apprehended with weapons they use for operation, Weapons which includes a wooden gun, knife, and some other items like cocaine, 16 bottles of codeine (hard drug), six hundred and forty- eight wraps of weed, diabolic items which include charms, 10 packers of rizzlers grinder and used female panty which they may have held for conducting a ritual session.

According to reports, an incident had occurred on the 12th of January, the Divisional Police Officer Otu- Jeremi Division had received an emergency call over the murder of a young man in the Otu- Jeremi community in Ughelli South Local Government Area. The DPO did not hesitate in deploying policemen to the crime scene where the body of the victim was lying lifeless in his pool of blood after he was stabbed to death. The police dived into the investigation, the victim whose name is Twere Shipiode a 29 years old man, had an altercation with Paul Ogilo, a 26years old man, the altercation led to a fight and Paul Ogilo pulled out a knife and Stabbed Twere Shipiode to death.

The police trailed Paul Ogilo and found him with a knife which he used to stab Twere Shipiode to death, he was immediately arrested and put into police custody, during the interrogation process, he admitted to committing the crime while claiming he had done so because Twere Shipiode accused him of trying to defile his daughter.

The police have ever since then been carrying out a raid in the community to ensure the arrest of any cultists found in possession of weapons.
