In 2023 election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can nominate a presidential candidate from four states in Nigeria. In any national election, the success of a presidential candidate is determined not only by the impact of the candidate’ s home state, but also by the influence of the candidate’ s home state. The state in which the opposition party’ s presidential candidate is born could influence the election’ s outcome.
In this article, I’ ll discuss four states where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can nominate presidential candidate in year 2023. From the four states discussed below, the opposing party can nominate their flag bearer.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will look at Kano State first when determining which state will provide the party’ s next presidential candidate. In every Nigerian election, Kano State produces the most votes. Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso can be considered the party’ s flag bearer in Kano State, according to the opposition party’ s leadership. Kwankwaso is a former governor of the state who will know how to deliver the opposition party in Kano and other neighboring states.
Anambra State is another state on this list from which the opposition party can select its presidential candidate. In the previous presidential election, the state produced Atiku Abubakar as running partner, who played a significant role in the outcome. Peter Obi, the governor of Anambra State, could be the party’ s flag bearer in the upcoming general election.
Kwara State is another state that has a good chance of delivering the Peoples Democratic Party’ s (PDP)’ s presidential candidate. In the state, there is Dr. Bukola Saraki, who has previously expressed interest in becoming the party’ s presidential candidate in 2019. In the party’ s primary election in 2019, he ran against Atiku Abubakar and Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal from Sokoto State. This time around, Bukola Saraki will be prepared to run for office. Kwara State has the potential to produce Dr. Bukola Saraki as the party’ s presidential candidate.
Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose could be chosen as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’ s presidential candidate in the year 2023. Fayose is a prominent member of the opposition party in the country’ s southwestern region, where he is also an active member. Ayodele Fayose, the governor of Ekiti State, is a candidate for the opposition party.
