The controversy that surrounded the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries and Atiku Abubakar’ s selection of Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate has not yet faded.

According to a source, the meeting between Atiku and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, which took place yesterday in Abuja at the request of the party’ s Board of Trustees (BoT), which is led by Senator Walid Jibrin, did not result in a truce between the two men. The meeting took place in response to a request made by Senator Walid Jibrin.

The gathering was invited into Jerry Gana’ s home, where they were made to feel right at home by the former Minister of Information and Culture.

Atiku boasted to members of the BoT during a meeting on Wednesday that the PDP may win the 2019 election without receiving a significant number of votes from Rivers State. The meeting was held in Abuja.

He stated that there was no reason to be concerned if Wike decided not to comply with his demands because there was no reason to be concerned.

Atiku, who exudes confidence, made the remark that President Muhammadu Buhari, who did not win Rivers State, relied on votes from Lagos, Kano, and other significant states to win the presidential election in 2019. Atiku’ s statement was made in reference to the fact that Rivers State was not among the states that Buhari won. Atiku was referring to the upcoming 2019 presidential election.
