Ahead of Nnamdi Kanu’ s trial on October 21, Punch News, Sahara Reporters, and other news platforms have alleged that Ohanaeze Ndigbo has ordered the president of the country to produce Nnamdi Kanu in court in other to make him appear in the court of law and tell Nigerians what he has done.
Sahara Reporters stated that Ohanaeze Ndigbo urged the attorney general of the country to do whatever he has to do right now in other to avoid giving any excuses as you why Nnamdi Kanu will not be present in court on October 21.
Also, it has been reported that IPOB has distanced itself from any sit- at- home order in the southeast.
IPOB in its recent statement urged the authority to discipline anyone found enforcing any form of the sit- at- home order in the southeast zone.
In the same news report, IPOB stated that its members are not kidnappers or killers, hence, there is no reason for anyone to accuse the group of being behind the insecurity in the southeast.
Meanwhile, a new report from Sahara Reporters has revealed the statement made by a group known as Pro- Biafra.
On Monday, a group identified as Pro- Biafra threatened to shut down the border between Cameroun and Nigeria ahead of Nnamdi Kanu’ s trial on October 21, 2021.
Revealing the reason for the action, Sahara Reporters stated that the plan has been put in place by the group in other to show solidarity or support for IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu
The group said ” This is a big warning to the federal government. We warn that should the federal government continue to use the military against the Biafra agitators in the South East, we will shut down all borders. It is not a threat, but a warning. We’ ve was given an earlier warning so that nobody will blame us for our actions. ”
” We are responsible for cross- border activities and smuggling to Southern Cameroun, which has helped the Ambazonia separatists in the fight against Cameroon. We have direct links with the separatists in Southern Cameroon. Members of the group are mainly from border towns and the Bakassi Peninsula. ”
As long as the Biafra nation is concerned, the Pro- Biafra group alleged that it has the capacity and number to do whatever it has to do to promote its cause.
If the Nigerian government continues to threaten or harm the people who live in the southeast zone, the group states that it will not hesitate to shut down the border of the country.
