Ugezu Ugezu, a filmmaker and actor has opined that the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has helped to stop the Islamization of the country. He shared his opinion on his Instagram page, saying;
If not for IPOB, the same IPOB they hurriedly labeled terrorists, leaving the INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TERRORISTS to enjoy state facilitated freedom,
IF NOT FOR IPOB, the enemies of peace, haters of freedom of religion, would have executed their ill conceived agenda on ISLAMISATION. Please BRING IT ON… LET US SEE WHO WILL EVACUATE THE SPACE. We are wired into ODENIGWUGWU as never before.

A lot of things have been going on since Nnamdi Kanum the IPOB leader was arrested. One time, he appealed to the members of the group, his supporters, and well-wishers to be unwavering and prayerful concerning his present predicament. The IPOB leader also expressed his gratitude to all of them that have stood by him since his travails began towards the end of June.
He sent his gratitude and request for prayers through his lead counsel, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, after a team of lawyers had visited the IPOB leader in the custody of the Department of State Services on Thursday.
Nnamdi Kanu has been in the detention of the DSS since June, though he briefly appeared in court, blindfolded, handcuffed and chained in the legs before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court on June 29.
Kanu was meant to be back in court on July 26 but the operatives of DSS did not take him for trial and so his case was adjourned till October 21st.
With his trial going on, his lawyers asked that they are granted permission to see him and that he is also taken from the DSS office to a prison facility. However, while the court granted the first, the second request wasn’t granted.
His lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi revealed that in the routine visit on Thursday, Kanu was in high spirits, although none of his family members had yet been able to visit him.
His statement read;
“Routine visit to Our Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was just concluded now. He is still very strong in spirit, resolute and firm
“His warm greetings and compliments go to millions of Umuchineke and followers worldwide. He is profoundly grateful for the massive show of support and solidarity and consequently urged all and sundry to remain resolute, and prayerful particularly in this trying moment. Victory is sacrosanct and it cannot be too long. Your prayers are paramount now. Other highlights border on professional interaction which shall remain private. Thank you all and God bless.”
Barrister Ifeanyi also disclosed that Kanu’s family has been unable to see him. When he was asked, he said;
“Not yet. We are on it.”
Also, a Nigerian Pastor, Bishop Obi Ndubisi also warned the Federal government to start pursuing the bandits, Boko Haram, and ISWAP terrorists and leave members of the Indigenous People of Biafra alone.
