Over the weekend, mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, caused 31 deaths and injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening, and Donald Trump is blaming the media for this.
According to the US president, the “media” has a “responsibility to life and safety in our country” but through “fake news” they have “contributed greatly to the anger and rage that has built up over many years” and led to unrest and the killings in the country.
Trump tweeted: “The Media has a big responsibility to life and safety in our Country. Fake News has contributed greatly to the anger and rage that has built up over many years. News coverage has got to start being fair, balanced and unbiased, or these terrible problems will only get worse!”
But Twitter users slammed Trump and told him that he, not the media, is to blame for the mass shootings.
