Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos state and a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is expected to return to Nigeria on Sunday, Oct. 10 to appear strong enough for the 2023 presidential election.
According to a news report, the APC leader will be greeted warmly by his political colleagues at the Nigerian Police College in Ikeja, Lagos.
It was reported that he will return to the UK after his visit on Sunday to complete his recovery.
The source told a news correspondent that ” Tinubu is planning a visit to Nigeria on Sunday, Soon after, he would return for his surgeries after a planned welcome at the Nigeria Police College in Ikeja, Lagos. ”
” If everything goes well according to plan and his health permits him to embark on the journey because the journey will have an impact on his recovery. ”
According to the report, it was gathered that during a visit by the northern caucus of the House of Representatives to Tinubu’ s residence in London, Tinubu disclosed that while other areas of his treatment were going well, he was finding physiotherapy quite gruesome.
He then expressed gratitude for the delegation’ s visit and stated that he was doing well.
It would be recalled that the former Lagos governor underwent knee surgery at John Hopkins University in Maryland, United State
Tinubu had planned to have his surgery in Paris, but after hearing reports of his death in Nigeria, he opted to have it done in the United States.
He is currently resting for recovery at his home in the United Kingdom.
