Exposed! ! Nigerians Shouldn’t Expect Jonathan To Contest By 2023, See Reasons

It is no longer news that the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have approached former President Goodluck Jonathan, urging him to abandon the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in favor of the APC ahead of the 2023 elections. If Goodluck Jonathan decides to run for President of Nigeria, the APC leaders have promised him an automatic Presidential ticket. However, for a variety of reasons, Goodluck Jonathan may not run for President of the United States.

Below are two strong reasons why Nigerian shouldn’ t expect Jonathan to contest in the upcoming presidential election.

First Reason

One of the reasons why Jonathan may not run for President in the 2023 election under the Party’ s Platform is that if he does run for President, he will only serve for four years in the office of President. Because of this, Jonathan will waste the remaining four years that the Southwest should have used as President. Due to his reputation as a considerate and kindhearted leader, Goodluck Jonathan may be willing to give up the presidency for the sake of another leader in the country’ s southern region.

As previously said, President Muhammadu Buhari wrested power from him during the 2015 Presidential election. President Buhari could have served out his term as President if it hadn’ t been for the fact that he seized power from Goodluck Jonathan. As a result, Goodluck Jonathan would not abandon the PDP in favor of the APC and run for president on the party’ s platform.

Second Reason

Another reason why Goodluck Jonathan may not run for President on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is because there is no guarantee that what happened in the 2015 Presidential race, when Goodluck Jonathan contested for President, will not happen again. However, Northerners did not support Jonathan, despite his best efforts to win over their hearts and minds in electorates throughout the region.

The electorates of the Northern states refused to vote for Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election, notwithstanding Jonathan’ s victory for the Northerners. Goodluck Jonathan will not be able to win the election because of the Northerner’ s execution of all beneficial projects. Until then, Jonathan will not compromise his integrity for any reason, including the 2023 presidential election. As a result, Goodluck Jonathan is unlikely to run for the President of Nigeria.
