Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, revealed that the All Progressive Congress is trying to manipulate the result of the governorship election scheduled to hold today, 6th November, 2021, across every local government area in the state. Willie Obiano made a shocking revelation that the All Progressive Congress have written results of today’ s governorship election in 10 different local government areas.
The Governor made it clear that APC has collaborated with INEC to announce the written results after the actual election is conducted in the state. Obiano made this statement through his Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba. Though, Obiano didn’ t provide any evidence to support his claim but it seems the Governor is convinced about APC’ s unjust plan to take over the realms of affairs in Anambra State.
Obiano said, ” The Anambra State Government has credible intelligence showing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has already written results of 10 Local Government Areas as regards the gubernatorial election which will take place tomorrow, November 6, 2021. The results are those of Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Aguata, Orumba South, Orumba North, Idemili North, Idemili South, Ogbaru, Anambra East and Anambra West. These are LGAs with high numbers of registered voters” .
He further stated that APC operatives are doing everything possible to turn the result of today’ s election in their favour. He accused some Independent National Electronic Commission officials of smuggling out the result sheets of some polling units two days before the election. It is believed that the result sheets have filled with unrecorded votes and will be announced regardless of the authentic results electronically submitted by INEC officials from the polling units. He also accused APC operatives of trying to use Buhari’ s non approval of electronic voting as a means to manipulate the result of today’ s election.
Obiano reiterated, ” APC operatives are relying on compromised Independent National Electronic Commission (INEC) officials, who smuggled out the result sheets of a number of polling units two nights ago and the result sheets of some LGAs last night, to accept and announce the results, regardless of authentic results submitted by INEC officials electronically. They plan to capitalise on the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has yet to assent to the new Electoral Bill which makes electronic voting mandatory to perpetrate the fraud.
