Nigerian musician, songwriter, rapper, actor and lawyer, Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, took to his official social media account to celebrate his birthday with a strong message of hope for Nigeria.
Falz who was part of the #EndSARS peaceful protest was born on October 27, 1990, making him 30-year-old today. Falz began his career while in secondary school after forming a group called, “The School Boys” with his friends. Falz became more known after his song, “Mary Me” featuring Poe and Yemi Alade in 2015.
In an Instagram post, Falz shared a strong message as he said; “Mixed feelings. It has been a week since we lost our brave soldiers at the toll gate. I have also now officially been on this earth for 30 years. I pray for a much better tomorrow. I pray for a Nigeria that I can truly be proud to call home.”
A better Nigeria to call home, where there is no police brutality, unlawful arrest, killings, better governance and most especially, where peace and justice shall reign are the main reasons for the #EndSARS peaceful protest by the youths of Nigeria.
