Chelsea host Tottenham on the same day but their match ended in a 0-0 draw. Chelsea coach Frank Lampard introduced Oliver Giroud to the game in the 79 minutes to replace Tammy Abraham.
The substitute by the Blue coach generates concern from one of the big fans where he thinks he should have brought in the French International early so he can make a good impact as Cavani did in the United game.
London mogul and Chelsea big fans, Frank Khalid posted on his Twitter page when making the complaint
He wrote:
“Yesterday Man Utd brought on Edinson Cavani at half time and it changed the game. Can’t help feeling if we had brought on Olivier Giroud earlier yesterday he might of had the same affect. 10 minutes is not enough to influence a game sometimes.”
Fans make a different reaction to this post some blame the coach for the late change and one thinks Cavani shouldn’t be compared with Giroud.
Did you think bringing in Giroud earlier will make any change in the game or Lampard is right with the time he brought in the French striker?
