“Why Did Our Female Team Travel By Public Transport In Foreign Country, Can’t They Rent A Bus? – FFK

Former minister of aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Femi Fani Kayode, has reacted to the video of an unnamed man who tongue-lashed the Nigerian female team inside a bus in Austria.

Recall that a video of a man abusing the Nigerian Female National Football Team was in circulation yesterday.

I had earlier posted the video, in case you did not watch it, you can watch it here.

Reacting to the video, Femi Fani Kayode asked why the female national team should be made to use a public transport in a foreign land.

He also asked why bodyguards or some security operatives were not assigned to them owing to the fact that they are women in a foreign country.

“The first question is why do our Female National Football Team have to travel by public transport in a foreign country? Can’t they rent a private bus? Secondly why do they not have bodyguards and some security given the fact that they are women in a foreign land and that they are representing our nation”, Femi Fani Kayode said in the beginning of his post.

The former minister went ahead to condemn the attack on the female national team. According to him, attacking and subjecting Nigerian female national team to such verbal assault is despicable.

He said that the man would have been labeled a racist if he was not from Nigeria. FFK added that the man is a rude self-hating Uncle Tom.

Femi Fani Kayode said; “Next is an assertion: no matter how anyone feels about Buhari or Nigeria I think it is despicable for the man to attack and subject our players to such a vicious verbal assault and to insult our country. If he were a foreigner and not a Nigerian he would have been rightly accused of being a racist. He is nothing but a grubby little foul-mouthed and rude self-hating Uncle Tom”.

Speaking further, Femi Fani Kayode said that things may be going bad in the country but it does not give anyone the right to insult or threaten our people in such manner.

“Things may be tough in our country and we may be going through hard times but no-one has the right to insult, humiliate, threaten, talk down to and treat our people with contempt and disdain.” Femi Fani Kayode also said.

Dear readers, what is your opinion on this?
