This is what Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to President said about the looters :
Femi Adesina disclosed that the looting spree which occurred in days after the EndSAR protest was propelled by greed and criminality.
He stated in an interview with Channelstv that he did not buy the idea that the commotions which EndSAR protest brought along, was the true reflection of People’s hunger and anger.
Are the people happy?
Adesina asked a vital question; can you absolved an armed robbery because the man was poor? Is poverty an excuse for crime? “Criminality is Criminality so I wouldn’t agree completely that looters are hungry”.
“Just as you can’t justify Armed robbery because a man was poor and then he took a gun to rob another person. You can’t also justify the looting that are going on. It is pure criminality.
Do you think that the two are related, armed robbery and warehouse looting?
He blamed the EndSAR protest for the looting. The looting was the by-product of the protest and the anarchy, lawlessness and destruction
“Therefore , it was a corollary to the mere anarchic situation that came on the country because of the protests. If you didn’t have people burning police stations, killing policemen, burning private and public property, you wouldn’t have this spate of looting “.
What did you think prompted the looting of warehouses and shops?
