Former Barcelona wonderkid is training with Chelsea but still has not signed contract according to insider
Chelsea insider “Carefree Youth” is having quite a day.
The Tweeter has already informed us about some Atalanta interest in Michy Batshuayi earlier this morning, and now he has an update on an incoming player.
Xavier Mbuyamba almost signed for the Blues last summer but was prevented from doing so by the transfer ban. He’s a towering central defender despite his tender years, and plenty of Chelsea fans are hoping that the Dutch youth international can go on to be a Virgil Van Dijk style difference maker.

After a year at Barcelona he’s a free agent again, and he looks like he’s about to join Chelsea. He’s already training with the Blues, but worryingly hasn’t signed a contract yet.
Given we’ve been chasing him for a year, it shouldn’t be a problem.
But just like with the Kai Havertz deal, we’re always nervous until we’ve seen the player sitting next to Marina Granovskaia with a pen in their hand.
