A group of some Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) warriors have declared their readiness to flush out criminal Fulani bandits operating in the Southwest once their leader, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams gives them the go ahead.
One of the warriors who spoke in Yoruba to a correspondent of Object TV media said, they are ready for battle with the criminal Fulani bandits once Aare Gani Adams gives them the order. He said, they are not afraid of going for battle, as they have been going for battles for the past 28 years.
He mentioned some communities where Gani Adams have so many warriors, repeating again that they only follow orders from the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land.
Ever since some Fulani herdsmen residing in the forest reserves in Ondo and Oyo state were given quit notice by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Sunday Igboho, the crisis involving Fulani herdsmen in the Southwest has been an issue that has caused controversies between leaders from the Northern and the southern parts of the country. While leaders from both regions have kicked against the demonization of every Fulani as criminal, there have also been calls for the federal government to effectively put an end to the problems involving criminal Fulani herders in various parts of the country.
