GOOD NEWS🎉! ! ! Jubilation As Federal Govt Finally Demolish Suspected Bandits Hideout In Kuje Area After Many Threats From Terrorists
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) cut down trees and demolished shanties in a forest in Pasali that was located along the Kuje- Gwagwalada route. The FCTA believes the woodland to be a safe haven for bandits and other types of criminals.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Department of Development Control and Sanitation was the one responsible for carrying out the demolition on Wednesday.
Earlier, the FCTA had issued a warning about intentions to demolish unlawful constructions along the road axis that runs between Tipper Garage and Kuje- Gwagwalada.
After the operation, Mr. Ikharo Attah, the Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement to the FCT minister, told NAN that the objective was to clear the area of illegalities and restore the authorized masterplan.
According to the report, it has successfully recaptured the vegetable market as well as others that were formerly controlled by other persons.
The activity has been brought to the attention of both the Minister of the FCT and the Commissioner of Police, and it will continue in order to recapture the places that have been allocated for use in certain ways.
He noted that some of the buildings had been marked for a considerable amount of time, and that sufficient exposure had been provided to the general population.
