A senior senior police officer attached to the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) has been arrested for taken bribe, isn’t that the good news we all wanted? That simply means that the Nigeria Police force is getting better.

A lady identified to be Didi Ekanem who owns a Toyota Venza with number APP 775 GJ, she was caught driving against traffic (one way) around Lekki Ajah Expressway on Wednesday, 18th of November, 2020. Her car was then taken to Task Force’s car park at Alausa, Ikeja

A Deputy Superintendent of police and his team who were attached to the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) were the one who caught her and they extorted her of 100,000 thousand Naira. She also claimed that they harrased her for adult play too.

DSP Popoola Kayode then received a bribe of 100,000 thousand naira through bank transfer on his bank account before releasing the car to Didi Ekanem. DSP Popoola and his team has been arrested and queried

Mr Adeboyo Taofiq, the Head of the Public Affairs Unit of Lagos State Task Force said in a statement that the Boss of the Agency, Mr Olayinka Egbeyemi has vowed to get to the foundation of the matter.

Sincerely speaking, this are the kinds of good news we want to hear. Anyone who is corrupt should face the law and be punished properly. The woman who give the bribe was arrested, the police officer who took the bribe were arrested too. That is a good news.

Opinion: I think If Police Are To Prosecute All traffic offenders In This Nigeria, Thousands Of People Will Be Ex-Convict. What do you think?
