A lady who went missing from home 28 years ago has become a topic of discussion in the village after she returned with children.
The lady, now a woman, identified as Wangari is said to have disappeared from her parents’ home in Kiharu, Muranga County when she was a teen, 16 years old.
According to the source, she left home for a greener pasture back in the year 1994 and landed a job as a housegirl.
However, no one knew where she had landed the job and no one heard a word from her.
While the family had just given up on looking for her, they were shocked by the sad news that their kin was in the hospital and very sick.
According to the source, the sad news they received got worse when the girl they were shown at the hospital as their daughter died.
They later buried her and move on from the sad news of losing a relative or rather child.
“In 2006 they were told their daughter was very sick in a hospital in Nyeri County. They visited and saw a frail girl who could hardly talk. The lady later succumbed. The family attended their daughter’s burial at Othaya in Nyeri County,” the source said.
Just after the family had moved on from her death, now 15 years ago, Wangari showed up and was not alone, she had a family.
She is now 42 years old and a mother of five children.
“Now Wangari has visited her relatives in Muranga, 28 years later. And she was with her 5 children,” the source added.
