The Nigerian Military has recorded success after capturing a notorious leader of bandits in Kaduna state who goes by the name Alhaji Goma Sama’ ila.
Reports say Samaila who was arrested in Kaduna State on Friday evening was responsible for organising several thefts of cows in Nigeria’ s North- West states.
A source cited by SaharaReporters said, ” Nigerian troops arrested Goma Sama’ ila, one of the ” most wanted” and notorious bandits’ leaders terrorising Zamfara, Kaduna, Katsina and other north western states in Nigeria. ”
His arrest comes few days after bandits reportedly overran a Nigerian military base in Zamfara state.
According to the story of the attack which was first reported by the Peoples Gazette, the bandits struck the forward operating base in Mutumji, Dansadauji, Killing 12 officers including nine Nigerian Air Force officers, two police officers, and one Nigerian soldier.
Further reports said all the slain personnel were evacuated from the army base while treatments were initiated on the three wounded officers.
Meanwhile, sad stories of bandits’ attacks on Nigeria have continued to overwhelm the media.
However, the arrest of Goma Sama’ ila whose picture is above will perhaps see Nigerians breathe a sigh of relief with hopes of success in the war against banditry.
