Honourable Shina Pella, lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, has spoken on the issue of insecurity happening around Oke Ogun area of Oyo State and what they are doing to put an end to banditry in the area. He revealed this today during an exclusive interview with Isaac Brown on Fresh FM, Ibadan.
He explained that he has raised a suggestion that there should be registration of all people living in the fulani communities in the local government area. He explained that the data collection will aid in fishing out anyone who wants to carry out evil activities. He said this will also help in reducing banditry.
While describing the insecurity situation in Iwajowa area, he said the situation has gone bad. He mentioned that two people were attacked last week during the Christmas period. He stated that he has sensitised people in his constituency on security issues. He said he has encouraged the people to ensure that they don’t travel at night any longer.
When asked whether he has engaged governor Seyi Makinde on the issue of insecurity in Iwajowa, he said he intended to engage the governor on the issue of insecurity soon. He said he is putting his information together so that he will present it to the governor. He stated that in terms of infrastructure, there is improvement in the state. He explained that he drove himself from Oke Iho to Ibadan this morning.
