Victoria Mite, a woman from Kericho, has sadly recounted how she lost her spouse eight months after their wedding, and how it has been difficult for her to go on with her life since then.
Victoria married while she was just 22 years old, and her spouse was only 26 years old at the time. She states that when her husband proposed to her, she was still in school, and that her parents were fine with their marriage as long as she maintained her education at the time.
It happened on this specific day that her husband died that he had left the house to go see a friend but he had never returned, which caused Victoria to get concerned.
Victoria became concerned and phoned his friends, at which point she was informed that he was in a critical condition at the hospital after being engaged in an automobile accident.
In the meantime, Victoria and her brother-in-law were taken to the hospital and, in accordance with covid-19 guidelines, they were instructed to return home to check on her husband the following day.
It was her terrible feeling about everything that prompted her to contact the hospital, according to her account. She was instructed to go to the hospital immediately, but by the time she arrived, it was too late since her spouse had passed away.
Because they were a newlywed couple, this was the most difficult time for Victoria. Through counseling, she was able to come to terms with the circumstance, despite the fact that she believes it was difficult for her to go on.
Victoria is still struggling to come to terms with the loss of her husband, despite the fact that she has flashbacks of the events of the day he died when she is alone.
