Rumours that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has been transfered to India for medical treatment is not true. This is according to information provided by his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
In a statement on Wednesday which he personally signed, Ejiofor said he was with Kanu on Monday for pre- trial briefing and ‘ will still be with him tomorrow, Thursday’ .

Do not give in to mischief makers who are currently parading FAKE NEWS that Our Client Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been transfered to India for whatever mischievous purpose they are insinuating.
We were with him on Monday for pre- trial briefing and will still be with him tomorrow. Please your eyes should always be on the ball, do not be distracted at all.
Remain strong in spirit, and continue in your prayers and supplications. The Federal Government has no choice but to bring Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to Court on the 21st Day of October, it is an explicit order of Court.
In a related news, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has hinted at the possibility of reaching out to the secessionists for talks in order to find solutions to the insecurity in his state.
The governor gave the hint after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.
Uzodinma, however, refused to give details of the kind of discussions being held and the personalities involved.
The governor, while reacting to a question on whether there was any negotiation with the leadership of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said: ” The management of crime can be likened to the relationship between husband and wife. It’ s not everything they do to keep the peace that is discussed in the sitting room.
